"Hollywood,” owned by Gary Cooper, sold for $62,000, reported event organizers T.J. Clark and Amy Landrus. She’s a 6-year-old bay mare, 14.3 hands tall, according to the sales catalogue. “Gary’s a long-time consigner,” Clark noted. The price topped records from the past two years, $59,000 in 2024 and $54,000 in 2023.

    Although they lost their first game of the season on Sunday afternoon, the Cody Cubs baseball team still picked up three wins last weekend. The Cubs traveled to Lewistown, Mont., last Saturday for a doubleheader against the Redbirds. These were both high-scoring games with the Cubs winning 13-9 in the opener and then scoring on late rallies for a 19-15 win in the second game.

The road trip started out with the Broncs and Fillies competing in the Kelly Walsh Invitational on Thursday. The top qualifiers in each event throughout the season so far,then competed in the Wyoming Track Classic on Friday. Kyler Stinson of the Broncs won the 100 meters at the Kelly Walsh meet.
