DENVER, Colorado — Denver Fire is investigating a fire as arson after it started in the basement of a home Wednesday night. Firefighters said, while battling the fire, they were also dealing with hoarding conditions inside the home. The house is near Franklin Street and Colorado Avenue in Denver's Platt Park neighborhood. Firefighters said they arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the basement.

BRIGHTON, Colo. — Brighton Police are investigating a double homicide in a Brighton neighborhood Tuesday evening. Police say this happened in the 100 block of North 7th Avenue. Around 6:20 p.m. Brighton Police responded to a report of multiple gunshots and found two people dead. Police did not say whether they were searching for a suspect in this shooting. Police say this is an open and ongoing investigation.
