Honda has enjoyed a steady improvement in its MotoGP results of late, and currently sits second in the manufacturers' championship behind only runaway leader Ducati. But the most successful of its riders is not at the factory team. Instead, LCR satellite rider Johann Zarco has led the way, scoring the team's first win since the 2023 Grand Prix of the Americas with victory at Le Mans last month.

Race week is finally under way for this year's Isle of Man TT, with road racing action lined up all week. The schedule features two races for each class - Superbike, Superstock, Supertwin and Sidecar - with the week's biggest race, the Senior TT, taking place on Saturday. A disrupted qualifying week nevertheless painted a picture of what to expect from racing, with Dean Harrison establishing himself as a prime contender from Honda.

Pecco Bagnaia says "strange" issues with turning and tyre wear on his Ducati MotoGP bike were to blame for his difficult Saturday at the British Grand Prix, as he dropped from third to finish sixth. The factory Ducati rider sits third in the standings halfway through the seventh round of 2025, 56 behind team-mate Marc Marquez and 37 behind younger brother Alex. Marc had his own problems at Silverstone, only qualifying fourth, but their approaches to solving the issues had a telling difference.

Alex Marquez ended his brother’s unbeaten run in MotoGP’s sprint races at Silverstone, taking his first Saturday win of 2025. The Gresini rider took advantage of a mistake from his older brother at Village on the second lap to take the lead, and from there led for the remainder of the 10 laps. Alex’s win cuts Marc’s lead in the standings to 19 points, with Pecco Bagnaia in third 37 points shy of the younger Marquez brother.
