    JEFFERSON CITY — An inmate at the Jefferson City Correctional Center was charged with multiple felonies after allegedly stabbing a prison employee. According to court records, on November 16, 2023, two JCCC employees were escorting James Henderson to his cell when he suddenly punched one of the employees in the face four times. He then ran down the stairs to the first floor and turned to the employees to attack them again.

    Law enforcement closed I-70 Closed in Callaway County early Monday morning. According to a tweet from the Highway Patrol, troopers were responding to a law enforcement incident on westbound I-70, at the 139 mile marker. The tweet said "both westbound and eastbound lanes are closed at this time. Please avoid the area and use an alternate route."

    JEFFERSON CITY — Jefferson City authorities arrested a 28-year-old man in connection to a weekend assault. According to a news release, the Jefferson City Police Communications Center got a call about 1:45 am Saturday morning for an assault. It happened at Chick's Taproom in the 2700 block of Industrial Drive. The release stated when officers got there, the victim was unconscious. EMS took the victim to University of Missouri Hospital.

Maryland Heights Police confirmed Cornell Haynes II had an outstanding traffic summons on 8/7/2024
