Every afternoon, yoga mats line the dance studio at the Goergen Athletic Center on the University of Rochester's River Campus. Students filter in and out, partaking in different styles of yoga and taking a moment to let go of their stress. These daily yoga classes are hosted through the Mindful University Project, a campus-wide initiative at the university. Offered through the UHS Health Promotion Office, the initiative’s goal is to reduce students’ stress and anxiety.

Carly Zubrzycki is a junior at the University of Rochester, and this year, you’d often see her sitting at a table in Wilson Commons, surrounded by the commotion of other students. As Chair of the Committee for Political Engagement (CPE) on campus, she’s been leading initiatives to get students registered to vote. “We’ve had 30-plus tabling events,” Zubrzycki said in an interview.

The George Eastman Award was presented this week in Rochester to actor Goldie Hawn. This award honors artistic talent in film and cinematography. It is a tribute to George Eastman for his contributions to the film production industry. The ceremony at a benefit gala was held Tuesday night at the George Eastman Museum. Hawn's early career included a stint on the very popular sketch comedy show, Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, before she transitioned to the motion picture industry.
