    WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - The Watertown Red and Black opened their 2025 NFA season Saturday night at home against the Rochester Colonials. Mel Busler was on the sidelines and has the story. The Red & Black are looking to get off to a great start to the season with a win over the visiting Colonials. They would do just that. Defense coming up big early as Reshawn Prince picks off this Rochester pass and takes it 40 yards for the touchdown. The PAT by Eric Beyler is good.

    CANTON, New York (WWNY) - The Canton girls head into the Sectionals with a 13 and 1 overall mark, 13 and 0 in league play. 8 seniors, 2 juniors, and 6 sophomores dot the roster. “So last year we had a really good season. It was the first time we won the Section since I’ve been the coach. First time in I think eight years. So we kind of rolled off of that for this year, so we were ready to go. We have a lot of confidence. We returned a lot of girls. We only lost two seniors last year.

Kolby Todd scores. 1-0 Jackets. Ian Johns slams a deep fly to center. Ryan Mayette comes home. 2-0. Connar Cameron hits a grounder off the third baseman. Johns scores. 3-0. In the bottom one, Gage Caskinett drives the ball up the middle, plating Charles Clark-Vallance. It’s 3-1.

    WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - 70 Golfers on hand to vie for honors in sun-drenched conditions on Wellesley Island. Individual honors went to South Jefferson golfer Liam Hobbs. This talented Spartan fired a 78 to cap off his senior year. Checking team results, Watertown captured the A Division title. South Jefferson garnered the B Division Crown. Thousand Islands was the C Division winner. And Alexandria won the D Division title.

She would be left stranded, though. Brooke McCarger is flashing the leather for Sackets Harbor. Heere catching the line drive. At the bottom of the second, Taylor Mauer drives in Emily Young with this hit. Putting Sackets Harbor on top 1, nothing. Sophia CoCo then drives in Taylor Mauer. Expanding the Sackets Harbor lead to 2 nothing.
