A California nonprofit serving adults with disabilities will shutter a program site in Fresno, potentially resulting in dozens of layoffs. Central Valley Training Center, Inc. notified the state on Monday of its plans to lay off 63 workers at the organization's Fresno-based RAPID South program. The California Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, also known as the WARN Act, requires employers to give 60-days' notice before a mass layoff, plant closure or relocation.
