TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - At least four people have been hospitalized after an active shooter was reported on Florida State University’s campus, officials said Thursday afternoon. The shooter reportedly in custody per CNN. The shooter was reported in the area of the Student Union, per the alert shared at 12:01 p.m.Officials with Tallahassee Memorial Hospital confirmed to WCTV that four victims are hospitalized.

One of our producers had to wear our station’s mascot for losing a challenge... Our newest producer, Evan!He was the loser of our morning crew March Madness bracket challenge and for his embarrassing loss, he had to wear a peacock costume throughout the morning show. He also greeted morning commuters on the street right outside our station.

Panama City Beach Police Chief Talamantez and Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford are holding a joint press conference to discuss updates on two recent shootings. One happened Thursday night around 11 p.m. near Hammerhead Fred’s off Thomas Drive. The other shooting took place at Pier Park last Saturday night.
