A week after moving into first place in the Gold Derby odds for Best Actor in a Drama Series, Noah Wyle could be in play for several Emmys for The Pitt. HBO Max has submitted Wyle, who plays Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, in multiple categories for acting, writing, and executive-producing the acclaimed series, Gold Derby has confirmed. Series creator, executive producer, and showrunner R. Scott Gemmill joins Wyle in the Writing for a Drama Series category.

According to Oscars executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan, working with host Conan O’Brien at the 2025 Academy Awards far exceeded expectations. “He nailed a whole opening monologue with all of these incredible jokes. Then he tap-danced, accompanied by a sandworm, and opened the show. I mean, he did it all — and that was just in Act 1,” says Mullan. The producing duo, both Emmy winners, are thrilled to be teaming up with O’Brien again for the 2026 Oscars.
