In the Quick Recall event, Glasgow was second, with Greenwood finishing in first and South Warren in third, according to official event results on the Kentucky Association for Academic Competition website. Glasgow’s Mary Kate Vance captured first place in Language Arts and second in Arts and Humanities.

Commissioners approved $5,000 for Entertain Glasgow’s Summer Concert Series, $1,500 for Barren River Animal Welfare Association’s second annual Derby Dog Festival and $850 for Kentucky Bass Nation’s High School and Junior Qualifier.
