An apparent rift between Trump advisers Elon Musk and Peter Navarro, who are on opposite sides of the spirited tariff policy debate in the president's orbit, continued on Tuesday as Musk posted on social media that "Navarro is truly a moron."Musk, who is the CEO of Tesla (TSLA) and SpaceX (SPAX.PVT) in addition to serving under President Trump as a special government employee, is opposed to Trump's tariff policy while Navarro is a staunch supporter of the approach.

Senator Slotkin did not waste one word in touching the issues a vast majority of Americans, primarily middle class, are experiencing.

Before the very first offenders were even indicted on criminal charges for their participation in the January 6, 2021, insurrection attack on the Capitol, American companies were wasting no time firing identified attackers who were their employees. Almost immediately, Maryland-based Navistar fired an employee who was identified next to the “Qanon Shaman” in the Capitol and wearing his employee ID tag.

The view that the economy is not working for them has remained by a large margin the number one issue from American voters. No matter the leaning of the voter, the vast majority of Americans believe the economy is not doing well for them or their families. Period. And, despite the best efforts of Kamala Harris, Donald Trump is still viewed as better in dealing with the economy.

Whether Harris selects Pete Buttigieg or even if she doesn’t, I believe it’s time for a woman of color presidential candidate to select as VP a highly qualified, decorated veteran – who happens to be a gay man.
