D er 25. April ist nicht irgendein Tag in Italien, sondern die Festa della Liberazione, das Fest der Befreiung. Jährlich feiern die Italiener das Ende der Terrorherrschaft der deutschen Nazibesetzer und der mit ihnen kollaborierenden Mussolini-Faschisten im Jahr 1945. Für die in Rom regierende radikal rechte Giorgia Meloni, für ihre postfaschistische Partei Fratelli d’Italia gab es an diesem Tag nie etwas zu feiern. Eher schon kann man sagen, dass ihnen das Fest der Befreiung gehörig stinkt.

Nearly two thousand people turned out in Naples and Fort Myers Saturday in a second round of protests against policies and programs put into place during the start of President Donald Trump's administration. A local educator who received a swastika armband anonymously in the mail said he was "absolutely disgusted" by the item and, at first, thought to toss it in the trash. Don Dunn, an eighth-grade teacher at Bonita Springs Charter and father of three, received the armband with a note that said, "You've been selected to join our exclusive group.""I will tell you that I was absolutely disgusted when I opened it," Dunn said.
