The men, from Corby and Boston, Lincolnshire, were cleared of being involved in a bid to kidnap a victim in Rugby between 30 October and 2 November, 2023. The alleged kidnap was borne out of drug dealing. If they had been found guilty, they could have faced a maximum sentence of life in prison.

A rapist who sexually abused two vulnerable girls in Kettering has been given a 20 year jail term after a judge praised a jury for seeing through his ‘malicious and outrageous’ lies. He was before the court today (Friday, April 11) to be sentenced for repeatedly raping a girl of infant-school age over a series of months. She was degraded, choked, strangled and restrained during the attacks. When she told him to stop he told her to ‘shut up’.
