Highs in the mid to upper 80s. A cool front pushes through early Monday. This front brings us some scattered showers Monday morning followed by a push of cooler and drier air next Monday and Tuesday. Afternoon highs will warm into the lower 80s this afternoon with many inland communities in the middle 80s.

Wind; SSW 10-20 mph. Highs in the lower 80s. A strong cold front will move into the region on Wednesday, bringing the chance for rain and isolated storms. Temperatures will drop into the upper 60s and lower 70s for afternoon highs on Thursday and Friday with the coolest day of the week arriving on Saturday.

The National Hurricane Center has found the tropical depression in the Caribbean Sea has strengthened and is now designated as Tropical Storm Sara. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the northern coast of Honduras from Punta Sal eastward to the Honduras/Nicaragua Border, and the Bay Islands of Honduras. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for the northeastern coast of Nicaragua from Puerto Cabezas northward to the Honduras/Nicaragua Border.

Broad low pressure in the Caribbean has been designated potential tropical cyclone 19 by the National Huricane Center. This system hasn't developed a low-level center yet, hence the designation PTC 19. Hurricane and tropical storm watches have been issued for Nicaragua and Honduras. PTC 19 is expected to form into Tropical Storm Sarah by the weekend. A slow track into the Yucatan peninsula is likely thereafter.
