She won the Pulitzer Prize In 1923 and virtually every other award a literary figure could win. She is generally considered to be one of the greatest writers of the 20th century.

Ring Lardner (1885-1933} was born in Niles, Michigan, the youngest of nine children of a prosperous family. He began his writing career as a sports reporter and writer and branched out to write witty essays and short stories about the lives and activities of ordinary people.
