A group of creative minds and talented players at The NOVA Skylight Theatre presented a Pulitzer Prize winning drama,”The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds” by Paul Zindel, written in the style of Tennessee Williams. Directed by Jessie Roberts, the play takes place in 1971 in the Hunsdorfer home which was once a vegetable store.

The June Lit Lunch will meet on June 7 at noon at the Village Station to discuss Willa Cather’s short story “Paul’s Case”. Ms Cather was a journalist, teacher, short story writer and a novelist. She won the Pulitzer Prize In 1923 and virtually every other award a literary figure could win. She is generally considered to be one of the greatest writers of the 20th century.

Guests showed up for drinks, dialogue, and debate, as a panel of experts discussed how the forces of climate change, generative AI, and racial inequality are affecting the U.S. economy.

Ring Lardner (1885-1933} was born in Niles, Michigan, the youngest of nine children of a prosperous family. He began his writing career as a sports reporter and writer and branched out to write witty essays and short stories about the lives and activities of ordinary people.
