Police were back near Burden Pond in Troy on Thursday as part of their investigation into the death of a woman whose remains were found last year. Amanda King’s remains were near the pond, back in November, after she had been missing for more than a decade. There are no new developments in this case, Troy Police told NewsChannel 13. They scheduled this to make sure they’re conducting a detailed search of the area in a variety of conditions. King, who was from Glenville, disappeared in 2013.

Flags to fly at half-staff for fallen DOT worker Robert Bornt that was killed. Robert Bornt was a highway maintenance supervisor for the state DOT. He was also the chief of the Hoosick Falls Fire Department. The crash happened on Route 7 near Campbell Lane in Pittstown last Thursday. Bornt was flown to the hospital and later died. The driver stopped and stayed on the scene, State Police said. No one has been charged in the death so far.

Gin Blossoms headline Belmont on Broadway. An estimated 20,000 people filled Broadway on Wednesday night for a free concert by the Gin Blossoms. They played several of their biggest hits. It was the band’s return to Saratoga Springs, as they’ve played at SPAC several times during their 30-year run on the charts. They’ve also played the Kentucky Derby. Uprooted was the opening act before Gin Blossoms took the stage at around 8:20 p.m.

Fresh n’ Pressed on Madison Avenue was founded during a time when many businesses were closing their doors. It opened in June 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Lark Street Business Improvement District said this anniversary celebration honors the cafe’s resilience, community support, and the entrepreneurial spirit of its owners.
