But I think in that case, the correct decision was made, and it did not interrupt the play much (not like he made a decision then called play on)... I think umpires changing their decision can be ok in certain circumstances... such as when McLeod dropped that chestmark vs collingwood that was paid before he held it. When he dropped it, instead of giving him the kick, the umpire should have said: "I made a mistake, but can't call play on...

Yes and they still don't understand the metric system, still have 1 and 2 cent pieces, and their sense of humour is so primitive and stupid that irony and sarcasm go straight over their headsBut seriously - I can't stand American popular culture anymore than you guys (although I use 'freakking' instead of the other 'f' word) but some American practices have actually helped our game enormously.

gocatsgoI was wondering when someone would querie Antrobus. He's in my team because he is the best rover I've seen. Because of injury he never produced his best form at VFL level but for North Adelaide he was briliant. On more than 1 occasion he thrashed John Platten to the point where Platten would start in the pocket so that the Ant could be tagged. The same with Robran (Barrie) in the middle. He is the best footballer I have ever seen bar none.

#6 The rule works fine as it is - if a player is injured, he can give the kick to the *nearest* player providing he goes off - in this case Lloyd WAS the nearest player (watch the tape, he is right next to blumfield when he takes the mark) and therefore there is no reason, other than incompetancy, why Lloyd was not given the kick....
