The Keene Sentinel revealed both of its Player of the Year Awards at the fourth annual Players of the Year banquet at Keene Country Club on Thursday night. Keene High senior Fitch Hennessey was named 2025 Keene Sentinel Male Player of the Year, while Monadnock senior Cainen Avery was named 2025 Keene Sentinel Female Player of the Year.

MANCHESTER – Still they reign. The Monadnock baseball team reeled off its second consecutive 2-1 win of the tournament, defeating Bishop Brady in the state final Saturday at Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester to clinch the NHIAA Division III championship for the second consecutive year and for the fourth time in five years. Sophomore pitcher Chris Rouleau went all seven innings, clinching the title with a strikeout looking on his 119th pitch of the game.

LACONIA — If it ends up being the last game Kaden Smith ever pitches, he picked one heck of a night to throw the game of his life. In what was guaranteed to be his last pitch of the night, and potentially the last of his high school career, Monadnock's rubber-armed senior induced a two-out groundball to second base. Chris Rouleau fielded it and flipped to second. The toss was late, but just in time.
