Suffolk Police are investigating the possibility that the man found dead in an East Shoreham swimming pool Sunday is a suspect in a November homicide, law enforcement sources told Newsday. Matthew Zoll, 23, was wanted in the Nov. 9 stabbing death of his father, Joseph, at their home on Quail Road in Rocky Point, police said at the time. Investigators are now looking to verify Zoll is the man who was found in the Pal Court pool, the sources said.

A 92-year-old school bus attendant accused of striking a student with Down syndrome in March pleaded not guilty to endangering the welfare of a child and other charges during an arraignment in Hempstead on Wednesday. Nassau District Judge Veronica Renta-Irwin released Louis Cadet, of Hicksville, on his own recognizance and ordered Cadet to return to court on May 7.

Nassau police on Wednesday will announce the identity of Gilgo Beach homicide victim Jane Doe No. 3 and her toddler, multiple law enforcement sources told Newsday. Partial remains of the woman, commonly referred to as "Peaches" based on a tattoo of the fruit on her body, was discovered stuffed inside a Rubbermaid container at Hempstead Lake State Park in Lakeview in June 1997, police said at the time.
