Your browser does not support the audio element. The state Senate on Wednesday voted to send the governor a bill that would remove the current members of the Arkansas Towing and Recovery Board. The Senate voted 29-3 to approve House Bill 2001 by Rep. Stetson Painter, R-Mountain Home. Under the bill, the governor shall appoint all board member positions, subject to confirmation by the state Senate.

The Arkansas Senate on Wednesday narrowly approved a bill that would require county boards of election commissioners to hold early voting in each city with a population of more than 15,000 people. The Senate voted 18-16 to approve House Bill 1878 by Rep. Jessie McGruder, D-Marion, and sent the bill to the governor. The Senate’s initial 15-18 vote on the bill fell three votes short of the 18 required for approval before that vote was expunged.

The Arkansas House on Tuesday approved a bill aimed at providing tax incentives for the lithium industry. The House voted 86-5 to send to the governor Senate Bill 568 by Sen. Steve Crowell, R-Magnolia. Six representatives voted present on the bill and three representatives didn't vote on the bill.
