The Seattle Seahawks' quarterback offseason overhaul continues, this time with a familiar face. The Seahawks are expected to sign quarterback Drew Lock, a league source confirmed to The Athletic. Initially part of the 2022 trade package Seattle received for sending Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, Lock competed for the starting quarterback role that offseason. After Geno Smith won the job, Lock served as the team's backup quarterback for two seasons.

Seemingly every offseason, Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider says he'd like to draft a quarterback. The lead-up to the 2025 NFL Draft, which begins April 24, is no different. Armed with 10 picks, including five within the top 100 selections, Seattle is in the market for a young quarterback. The Seahawks have drafted only two quarterbacks since Schneider arrived in 2010: Russell Wilson with pick No. 75 in 2012 and Alex McGough with pick No. 220 in 2018.
