In just a couple of days, Apple will take the wraps off the next version of iOS, expected to bring a new look, a new name, and a couple of new apps. And according to a new report, some of the most-used older apps are getting updates too. In Mark Gurman’s annual pre-keynote roundup, he writes about a few apps getting a refresh as part of iOS 26. Among the changes are:Safari: Apple’s browser will get “a significantly updated look,” to match the rest of iOS 26.

In just a few days, Apple will unveil its slate of new software at WWDC, and when it gets to the HomePod section, owners of the original model will get a nice surprise: any new features Apple announces will be supported. According to a private account on X spotted by MacRumors, Apple will support both HomePod models with HomePod Software 26. The original HomePod was announced at WWDC on June 5, 2017, but didn’t ship until the following February. However, that’s still eight full years of support.
