About 200 people gathered near Angel Stadium to protest ICE activities in Orange County and elsewhere. As the Anaheim demonstration grew, some people climbed street poles to wave Mexican flags and around a dozen others stood in the middle of the street as cars drove by. On Saturday, Anaheim will have a “No Kings Day” protest from 4-7:30 p.m. at La Palma Park.

The founder and president of the nonprofit Viet America Society has been indicted on federal charges alleging that he bribed former Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do to receive $12 million in COVID-relief funds, the U.S. Attorney’s office announced Friday. Prosecutors accused Peter Pham, 65, of pocketing the bulk of the money and then laundering it to avoid detection by law enforcement.
