Company CTO Brian Brockway said Commvault Cloud Backup & Recovery for Active Directory Enterprise Edition automates the recovery of an Active Directory forest, which is the logical container in an Active Directory configuration that aggregates domains, users, computers and group policies.

Torq has extended the reach of the generative artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities spanning its security operations center (SOC) platform to now include multiple agents. Company CTO Leonid Belkind said these additions extend the reach of Torq Socrates, an agent for augmenting security analysts that Torq added last year. The additional AI agents will now make it simpler to automate a much wider range of workflows based on the initial analysis of a security incident, he added.

OPSWAT this week revealed it has acquired Fend, Inc. to further extend the reach of its cybersecurity portfolio into the realm of operational technology (OT). Fend provides Data Diodes and Unidirectional Gateways, a set of appliances that provide one-way secure communications channels for a wide range of embedded systems. Arctic Wolf this week revealed it has acquired the Cyclance endpoint security platform from Blackberry for $160 million. Dan Schiappa, chief product and services officer for Arctic Wolf, said the addition of Cylance to the company’s portfolio extends the scope of the cybersecurity capabilities provided to include endpoints. Arctic Wolf is best known for providing managed security services but has recently been building and deploying its own software.
