A woman who had her eggs frozen wants to "remove the shame" surrounding it among the Asian community. Kohinoor Sahota said she made the decision after being made redundant and becoming single during the pandemic. "I felt like I wasn't just mourning the loss of a partner but the loss of a potential family", she said.

Children on the Isle of Wight could be at greater risk of committing crimes because literacy levels there are so low, education chiefs have said. Across the UK, one in four children are below their reading age when they reach secondary school. On the Isle of Wight, it is one in three. The island also has the worst Key Stage 2 results of any local authority in England. The community is now coming together to try to reverse this.
