Pope Francis's doctors have "not decided" on his prognosis, the Vatican says, after a "slight improvement" in his condition on Monday. The 88-year-old was admitted to hospital in Rome on February 14 with breathing difficulties and his clinical picture has been described as "complex". While he was initially diagnosed with bronchitis, it has since been revealed he has pneumonia in both lungs and "mild" kidney failure. He also required blood transfusions at the weekend.
