LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. - A state lawmaker representing part of the Lehigh Valley says one of the largest employers in the region plans to make a significant reduction in its workforce. State Representative Josh Siegel (D - 22nd District) released a statement Thursday after receiving word that Mack Trucks is laying off between 250 and 350 workers at its Lower Macungie Township facility.

PLUMSTEAD TWP., Pa. - More than two dozen cows were on the 'mooove' Wednesday morning when they escaped from a Bucks County farm and ran through neighborhoods near Doylestown. "There was a whole stampede of cows coming down the street," recalled Robert Porrini. Porrini lives in Plumstead Township in the Overlook at Carriage Hill and captured one of the escapees on his Ring doorbell camera. "I was like, there's a cow on the front step....There was 10 of them running around," Porrini said.

HARRISBURG, Pa. - The man accused of setting fire to Gov. Josh Shapiro's mansion walked into a courtroom for his arraignment Monday afternoon. The damage to the governor's residence is extensive. Police say the suspect tried to torch the place with Molotov cocktails. Shapiro, his family, and another family scrambled for safety. The suspect is Cody Balmer, of Harrisburg. Bail was denied at his court hearing Tuesday.

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - A robot in Montgomery County is helping to make sure all drinking water is safe. Aqua Pennsylvania's new robot Andrew has enabled chemists to test more samples of so-called forever chemicals -- PFAS -- and speed up the testing process. "This is Andrew our pipetting robot. He takes care of one of the most important steps for our PFAS analysis," said Alex Brody, a chemist at Aqua. Brody told us there are three main steps to test for PFAS. "The first is the extraction.
