LSU announced dining halls will be open Thursday, Sept. 12, in a statement on their social media. Here is the full statement:LSU Dining will operate the 459 Commons and The 5 dining halls from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 12. Meals will be available for all residential students regardless of whether you have purchased a meal plan or not. The campus shelter in place remains in place until 1 p.m. on Thursday, so we urge you to use your best judgement on when to travel to the dining halls.

Louisiana is already one of the best states for the energy industry. It’s the third-largest exporter, with the second-highest concentration of chemical engineers in Baton Rouge. Louisiana is thriving in the industry with one disadvantage. “But right now the way we do it we emit tons of carbon dioxide, that carbon dioxide can trap heat and we get climate change and that’s a problem,” chemical engineering professor John Flake said.

The man charged with manslaughter for the death of Devin Repath at Fred's last month has filed a motion requesting he be allowed to leave the state to work as a ranch hand in Mississippi. Matthew Marsiglia, 21, was suspended from the university, where he was pursuing an engineering degree, following the charge. He asked the court to work for a family member as a ranch hand in Magnolia, Mississippi.
