Pauls Valley recognized all its sports athletes at the annual sports banquet. The seniors received a majority of the awards with 15 1-sport athletes, 15 2-sport athletes, and 8 3-sport athletes. The underclassmen also received their varsity letters.

Zac Dillard and Julia Rumley, with Vision Bank in Ada, graduated from the Oklahoma Bankers Association’s 2024-25 Emerging Leaders Academy at the OBA’s 128th Convention on Tuesday, May 13, at the Skirvin Hilton in Oklahoma City. Class XV of the OBA Emerging Leaders Academy brought together bankers from across the state for six one-day sessions held from November 2024 through April 2025. Each session focused on strengthening leadership skills through interactive learning and practical application.

Feed the Kids is a 501c3 non-profit whose sole purpose is to help schools feed a 3rd meal each day to every student at no cost to the student. ‘FTK’ is called a ‘Sponsoring Organization’ for the Child and Adult Care Food Program ‘CACFP’. CACFP is a USDA program that is regulated by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

When you imagine a baker in their element, you might think of the relaxing atmosphere evoked in “The Great British Baking Show,” while others may jump to the intense stress mirrored in “The Bear.” A typical bake day for Mallory Cosby, owner of Woodleaf Bakery, involves some of it all: comfort, chaos, and a little bit of magic. What started as a hopeful dream became a reality when Cosby opened Woodleaf Bakery in July 2023 after wondering what it might be like to pursue baking as more than a hobby.
