In November, the Greenwood Christian senior committed to play basketball for Indiana Wesleyan. A numbers guy like Reed — he plans to major in finance — has realized long drives, reading greens and the occasional bunker blast would ultimately be trimmed from his daily routine.     Indian Creek’s brand new facility made its long-awaited debut late Tuesday afternoon. For historical purposes, the first pitch, delivered by Braves sophomore left-hander Nick Winters, was high and outside to Whiteland leadoff hitter Maalik Perkins. And nary a dirt-covered uniform was to be found, thanks to the artificial turf. In the end, it went in the books as an 11-7 Braves victory in an opening-round game of the Johnson County tournament.
