RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Turki Alalshikh put an end to Oscar De La Hoya’s erroneous claim that Canelo Alvarez-Terence Crawford would take place in the afternoon at Friday’s kickoff news conference. He said the Sept. 13 Riyadh Season fight for The Ring super middleweight championship would be streamed on Netflix in the evening in prime time. Alalshikh added that De La Hoya “wasted his time” with the claim.

Edwin De Los Santos is seeking his first fight since November 2023 after Keyshawn Davis was 4.3 pounds overweight last Friday, scrapping their planned title fight. And now, De Los Santos is searching for a new promoter as well.
