Sep 19, 2024The author, Tracey Thorn, is one half of the U.K. duo Everything But The Girl. Her rock’n’roll friend is Lindy Morrison, former drummer of the Australian band The Go-Betweens. Neither of which are punk bands but, if you need that particular card punched before proceeding, Morrison originally drummed for the radical punk band Zero. This book is Thorn’s attempt to narrate her best friend’s life, even though Morrison is still very much alive and could do it herself.

Sep 19, 2024This is a collection of essays and collage flyers that cover a wide range of topics, including anarchism, communism, zines, punk, and commentary on other written works. There’s a lot of writing from an anarchist perspective, but it’s far from the Noam Chomsky school of thought. Rodgers thanks the anarchist writer John Zerzan and some folks associated with Fifth Estate. That should give one an idea of where he’s coming from.
