There’s a lot of writing from an anarchist perspective, but it’s far from the Noam Chomsky school of thought. Rodgers thanks the anarchist writer John Zerzan and some folks associated with Fifth Estate. That should give one an idea of where he’s coming from.

A teenager who was part of a group that had a large knife pulled on them by an angry Queensland shopkeeper has admitted they were “looking for a reaction from her”. Lin Ge, the shopkeeper at the Friendly Grocer in Newport, north of Brisbane, said she threatened the group with the knife because she had “had enough” of the group’s behaviour. A survivor of a deadly bus crash has revealed what happened in the terrifying moments after the collision that killed three people in Queensland. A woman in her 20s, another in her 30s and a 56-year-old grandmother died after a Greyhound bus collided with a caravan being towed by an elderly couple on the Bruce Hwy at Gumlu, south of Townsville, on Sunday. Natasha Ryan was 14 when she ran away from her family’s Rockhampton home in 1998.
