MondayThe Carter family motorcade will arrive around 10:25 a.m. at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, near Plains in south Georgia. Rosalynn Carter’s remains will be transferred to a hearse, and the motorcade will then travel to nearby Georgia Southwestern State University, where wreaths will be laid at 11 a.m.The motorcade will arrive at 3:15 p.m. at the Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta and an arrival ceremony will be held.

The typed list included green peas with mushrooms, but the first lady crossed them out, according to Michael Beschloss, a well-known historian specializing in the U.S. presidency. “Jimmy doesn’t especially like green peas,” she added in handwriting, according to a copy of the reworked menu, which Beschloss posted on social media earlier this week. Rosalynn Carter suggested “fresh green beans” instead, “but not frozen ones.”Another proposed side dish, whipped potatoes, was also crossed out.

Four people were shot early Thursday in DeKalb County and transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to local police. Officers responded to the 3000 block of Cascade Manor Drive at 2:55 a.m. and found four victims inside a residence with gunshot wounds, the county’s police department said. More than 100 rounds were fired into the house, with seven individuals inside at the time, according to initial information, the DeKalb County Police Department added.

Ceremonies celebrating former first lady Rosalynn Carter will take place the week after Thanksgiving in Atlanta and Sumter County, Georgia, according to the Carter Center. Rosalynn Carter, the wife of former President Jimmy Carter, died Sunday in the couple's hometown of Plains. She was 96. The Carter Center, an Atlanta-based nonprofit founded by the couple, said Rosalynn Carter's remains will travel by hearse the morning of Monday, Nov.
