Billy the Kid & The Regulators will now perform on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Heritage Port.

WHEELING, W.Va. — IC Care will host a free hotdog lunch on Friday, June 13, to honor Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) during CNA Appreciation Week. The event is open to all CNAs in the Ohio Valley, regardless of where they work. It will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church – Disciples of Christ, located at 1343 National Road in Wheeling. Tate Blanchard, Chief Development Officer at The IC Group, said the lunch is a way to thank CNAs for their work in caregiving.

MINGO JUNCTION, OH — A major environmental cleanup is set to begin at the JSW Steel facility in Jefferson County. The $2.1 million project, led by the Jefferson County Port Authority, will remove 6,200 feet of abandoned coke oven gas line and hazardous residues left behind at the site. Crews will remove the unused piping, vacuum out remaining contaminants, conduct soil testing, and excavate areas around former tank and drip leg locations.

SARDIS, OH – A man was taken into custody Wednesday evening following a domestic disturbance involving gunfire on Narrows Run Road in Monroe County. At around 6:03 p.m., the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots fired at an occupied vehicle during a domestic incident. Deputies, detectives, and members of the county’s Special Response Team responded to the scene. After a period of response, Thomas Meek, 55, of Sardis, was arrested without further incident.
