WASHINGTON (AP/WTRF) — The nation’s top health agency will undertake a “massive testing and research effort” to determine the cause of autism, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced Thursday. Kennedy, a longtime vaccine critic who has pushed a discredited theory that routine childhood shots cause the developmental disability, said the effort will be completed by September and involve hundreds of scientists.

Six people have been linked to allegedly stealing a Humvee from the West Virginia National Guard. State Police say they responded to the West Virginia National Guard facility about a break-in at the motor pool and a stolen Humvee. Police say they recovered the stolen vehicle, which was abandoned in the Shelly Materials Sand & Gravel Pit located in Racine, Ohio. The West Virginia State Police say Tresten M. Williams, 20-year-old male, from Ravenswood, WV was arrested for the incident.
