The D-backs will debut their City Connect Serpientes (Spanish for Snakes) uniforms on Friday. They will be worn again on Saturday, and every Friday home game the rest of the 2025 season. The purple and teal jerseys feature the motto “Arizona Born” on the collar; a flag patch with the team logo; the state outline featuring 1998 for the year the D-Backs were established; and original pinstripes and a snakeskin pattern. The cap features the “S” logo.

Sharon Cohen, founder and CEO of Figure Skating in Harlem, has been helping to provide young girls of color with strong life lessons in resilience, both on and off the ice, for more than three decades. “The No. 1 thing they learn is you fall,” Cohen said. “And they’re falling down over and over. But they pick themselves back up.”Genisha Metcalf experienced that firsthand when her daughter, Skylar, took a hard spill during practice one day. MLB attendance is up 0.8% through April compared to last year, according to SBJ data. Here are a few takeaways from the early sample size:Owner Steve Cohen admitted he was “bothered” by the team’s home attendance in 2024 (18th), especially down the stretch. It took two tries, but the Rangers’ “Golden Chicket” promotion eventually paid off for 160 fans. As a result of Tuesday’s win, those fans received free tickets to Wednesday’s game. On April 21, the Rangers announced that they were selling 300 mezzanine level tickets at Globe Life Field for $99 each for Monday’s series-opening game against the A’s as part of their Golden Chicket offer, sponsored by restaurant Golden Chick.
