Now that I'm back from the Frozen Four, it's time to catch up with some of the news items that we didn't get to last week while covering the championships. Before we turn our attention to the Frozen Four, today’s issue of the newsletter (#556) is a complete transfer portal update, with all of the activity over the last three days. Merrimack is set to hire Joe Foley as its next athletic director. An official announcement is expected next week, but college officials confirmed Foley’s hiring. Foley has experience in several Power 4 conferences, including the Big 12, Big 10, and ACC. Foley has been a senior associate AD and assistant vice chancellor at TCU (Texas Christian University) since 2023. Before TCU, he spent seven years at Penn State as a senior associate AD for advancement.
