    The Merrimack men’s basketball team will make its second trip to Florida on November 21, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. This will mark Merrimack’s second trip to the O’Connell Center to take on the Gators. Florida beat Merrimack 77-57 on Dec. 5, 2023, but the Warriors led the game 31-30 at halftime. Samba Diallo (14 points), Jordan Derkack (14 points), and Budd Clark (11 points) were all in double figures for the Warriors in that game.

    Just as we’ve predicted for months, several top CHL players are announcing commitments to NCAA schools now that the season is wrapping up (the Memorial Cup will finish on Sunday). Michigan added 18-year-old goaltender Jack Ivankovic, who is projected to go in the late first or second round of the NHL Draft in a few weeks. Ivankovic had a .903/.305 season for the Brampton Steelheads (OHL) and was lights out (.967/0.75) for Canada’s U18 team at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

During the media availability, Michigan Tech AD Suzanne Sanregret said that the school and former head coach Joe Shawhan mutually agreed to part ways after they were unable to agree to a contract extension.
