Thirty-one St. Mary's students competed against students from Prince George's, Charles and Calvert counties. St. Mary's students swept all three Junior Grand Awards and two of three Senior Grand Awards.

Exhibit closingMattawoman Creek Art Center's "Brush and Lens" exhibit will close Saturday, April 19, at 5565 Upham Place in Marbury. The exhibit features the works of White Plains artists Kathy Noel and Nancy Owens. The center is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday. During National Volunteer Month, SCORE Southern Maryland announced the positive impact of its volunteers, who donate their time and expertise to help entrepreneurs start and grow small businesses, guide them in achieving new levels of success, and ultimately creating jobs and strengthening the local economy. In fiscal year 2024, SCORE Southern Maryland volunteers helped 703 entrepreneurs, providing them with 1,584 total mentoring sessions.
