    A 51-year-old Lexington Park woman pleaded guilty and was sentenced for the murder of a man after she hit him with a car last fall. On June 17, Simone Stewart pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in St. Mary's County Circuit Court. She was sentenced to 40 years, with all but 30 years suspended, to be served in the Maryland Department of Corrections. Last fall, Maryland State Police homicide investigators arrested Stewart in connection with the death of Demeatrum Scarborough.
