I feel like I live in an alternate universe. The GOP used to say Climate Change is a hoax, drill baby drill & forget EV’s. Now they are the defenders of Tesla. Daddy Bush said read my lips no new taxes. Now Trump is taxing us like crazy. Next they will be stealing our granola.

Great points below. But I am also struck by the suggestion that tariffs will bring manufacturing jobs back to the United States. Has anyone been to an effective manufacturing facility in Asia? I was in a handful last year and those manufacturing jobs are mostly done by robots.

During the Great Recession I was at the Legg Mason tennis Classic. A financial guru was next to me. 401 K’s were tanking. He pointed to some folks & said they will always make money if the market goes up or down. The tariffs are going to damage us but the rich will be fine.
