    The Chelsea softball team overcome a six-run second inning by Lincoln and rallied to a 16-9 win in the season opener Wednesday. The Bulldogs battled back to take a 10-9 lead and blew the game open with six runs in the seventh to pull away for the win. Kaydee Absher had a day, smashing a pair of homeruns and finished 4-4 with three rbi to lead the Bulldogs. Sasha Hendrickson had a home run and finished with three hits and four rbi, while Chloe Bagbey went 3-3 with a run scored.

    The Saline baseball team completed a perfect 5-0 week with a doubleheader sweep of South Lyon Saturday to improve to 6-0 overall on the season. The Hornets took the opener 5-1 behind the strong pitching of Ryder Concannon. Concannon struck out nine and allowed two hits in five inning of work for the win on the mound. The game was scoreless after two when Colton Tousa drove in a pair of runs with a single for a 2-0 lead in the third.

    The Saline softball team improved to 4-2 on the season ater winning three of four games last week. The Hornets opened the week by taking a pair of games from Pioneer 17-0 and 15-0. Saline used a big ten run fourth inning to put the game away in the opener. Abby Curtis tossed a four-inning perfect game, striking out 11. The Hornets pounded out 12 hits, led by three by Reese Rupert to go along with three rbi and four runs scored.

    The Dexter softball team returned from its spring break with three straight wins to improve to 5-0 on the season. The Dreadnaughts opened the week with a sweep of Ann Arbor Huron 17-0, 17-2. Dexter wasted no time taking control of the first game with 12 first inning runs and cruised to the three inning mercy. Lizzie Lewis smacked her first career home run and finished with three rbi in the game. Clara Lamb led the offense with three hits, including a double and triple and drove in one.

    The Dexter baseball team had a strong start to the 2025 season by winning three of four games this week. The Dreadnaughts took a pair of close games from South Lyon in the season opener Thursday. Dexter scored two runs in the seventh to break a 4-4 tie and take the opener 6-5. With two outs, Brady Arbaugh walked and came home on a Cole Novara double to put the Dreads up 5-4. Noah Fernando followed with a rbi single to plate Arbaugh for a two run lead heading to the bottom of the seventh.
