    The Saline baseball team avenged a pair of league losses to clinch the D1 district title with a 5-0 win over Dexter Saturday. The Hornets dropped two of three games to the Dreadnaughts in the regular season, but it was Saline who came out on top to keep its season alive Saturday. Ryder Concannon was stellar on the mound, spring out six Dexter hits over seven innings and striking out six for the win on the hill for Saline.

    To say the Saline softball team cruised to the D1 district title Saturday might be an understatement. The Hornets rolled to a pair of mercy wins to claim the title and move on to the D1 regional at Ypsilanti Lincoln to face Dexter Saturday. Saline scored ten runs in the first inning and took down AA Skyline 15-0 in a three inning mercy in the semifinals. Maddie Foster and Zosia Mazur teamed for a three inning perfect game striking out seven for the win in the circle.

    The Saline girls’ soccer team claimed another D1 district title with a 4-0 win over Ann Arbor Huron Friday night. The Hornets went on top early when Teagan Warden scored on a corner just over a minute into the game. Less than a minute later Makena Means found to net to give the Hornets a quick 2-0 lead. Sienna Snyder struck one home to make it 3-0 and Means followed with her second of the game to make the final 4-0. Saline reached the finals by taking down AA Skyline 2-0.

    The Saline girls’ lacrosse team advanced to the state semifinals for the first time after claiming the Hornets first regional title in school history with a 13-11 in over Farmington Mercy last week. The Hornets scored the first three goals of the game, but Mercy answered to tie the game up at 3-3. The Mercy lead grew to 6-3 in the second, but Saline answered with a pair of goals, including a penalty shot from Ayla Stager to cut the lead to 6-5 at halftime.

    The Chelsea softball team made it six straight district titles with a pair of wins at Fowlerville Saturday. The Bulldogs continued to have SEC White rival Pinckney’s number with an 8-3 win over the Pirates in the semifinals. Chelsea went on top when Mia Kuboushek singled to plate Ashley Sherwood for a 1-0 lead in the first. Pinckney evened it at one in the second, but the Bulldogs went back on top with two in the third.
