    Six activists were arrested Thursday in a protest over U.S. military aid to Israel in which demonstrators poured blood-red dye into the pond outside the U.S. Embassy in London. The activist group Greenpeace said Thursday that 12 protesters spilled the dye into the pond from containers stamped with the phrase “Stop arming Israel.” The group described the red coloring as nontoxic, biodegradable and safe for use in ponds.

Emergency services were working to clear the debris Tuesday in search of survivors trapped under the rubble, Méndez added.
