    ATLANTA (AP) — An earthquake of 4.1 preliminary magnitude was reported Saturday morning in Tennessee and was felt in Atlanta, western North Carolina and elsewhere, according to the U.S. Geological Survey and local news reports. The website for USGS said the earthquake originated shortly after 9 a.m. EDT about 12 miles (20 kilometers) from Greenback, Tennessee, which is about 30 miles (48 kilometers) south of Knoxville.

The new South Korean study of more than 1 million people was published in the European Heart Journal. The analysis found a 23% lower risk of cardiovascular disease among people who are vaccinated against shingles.

    2 hurt in west Charlotte shooting CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two people are in the hospital following a shooting in west Charlotte overnight. It happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 900 block of South Summit Avenue near West Morehead Street. Two people were transported from the scene, according to Medic. One sustained life-threatening injuries and the other had serious injuries.
