NEW YORK (AP) — After just two weeks in theaters, “A Minecraft Movie” is already the highest grossing Hollywood release of 2025. The Warner Bros. videogame adaptation followed up its blockbuster opening with a second weekend of $80.6 million in ticket sales, according to studio estimates Sunday. Worldwide, it’s quickly surpassed $550 million. After doubling expectations in its $300 million global debut, “A Minecraft Movie” continued to draw audiences unlike anything else this year.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Wisconsin teenager charged in the deaths of his parents faces wider allegations that he killed them to “obtain the financial means” to assassinate President Donald Trump and overthrow the government, according to a recently unsealed federal warrant. Nikita Casap, 17, was charged last month by Waukesha County authorities with first-degree murder, theft and other crimes in the deaths of his mother, Tatiana Casap, and his stepfather, Donald Mayer.

(AP) — Donald Trump’s doctor says the oldest man elected president is “fully fit” to serve as commander in chief as the White House released results Sunday of Trump’s recent physical exam. The 78-year-old Trump is 20 pounds lighter since his checkup as president in 2020 showed him bordering on obesity. His physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, cited an “active lifestyle” that ”continues to contribute significantly” to the Republican president’s well-being.

The African giant rat named Ronan has uncovered more than 100 landmines in Cambodia. An estimated 110 million landmines are still buried in more than 60 countries around the globe. Rats like Ronan can search the area the size of a tennis court in a half hour. That would otherwise take a person with a metal detector up to four days.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is investigating a deadly shooting on Eastway Drive, the third homicide in less than eight hours. It happened around 6 a.m. Sunday morning in the 200 block of Eastway Drive near North Tryon Street. Police said the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic. This is the third homicide that happened overnight that CMPD is investigating. The first happened around 10:30 p.m. near the Charlotte Transportation Center in Uptown.

CHESTER CO., S.C. – One person died and two others were injured following two separate shooting incidents that occurred minutes apart in Chester County. The incidents took place in the area of Mcclinton Road and Ridgeway Road in the Great Falls area of Chester County. Deputies said a man died and two others were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect was detained in the Charlotte area.

Defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano said a bout of norovirus sent him to the Darlington Raceway infield care center for medical treatment after last week’s race. The Team Penske star said he had been ailing throughout the week ahead of the 400-mile race that was run in unseasonably warm 89-degree weather. He managed to complete all 297 laps and finish 13th on the 1.366-mile oval. “I had a stomach virus, that norovirus, and I thought I was good,” Logano said.
