    THE LATEST:CHARLOTTE, N.C. – An 18-year-old man and another juvenile have been charged with murder in connection to a deadly shooting at a convenience store on January 14th. Detectives arrested Demetrius Adams and another juvenile on Friday, January 24th. Both were interviewed and transferred into the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. They have each been charged for the murder of 19-year-old Jaquad Pearson.

The R-rated Sony release earned $11.6 million from 2,675 theaters, according to studio estimates Sunday, beating Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King” by a hair.     11,000 customers without power in Concord CONCORD, N.C. – A power outage is affecting approximately 11,000 customers in Concord on Sunday morning. The cause of the outage is unclear at this time, but the City of Charlotte said crews are responding and working to restore power. The city asks citizens to not call 911 to report an outage.
