UPDATE (4/2/25):LANCASTER, SC – A judge denied bond Wednesday for two suspects involved in a shooting inside the Walmart in Lancaster on Tuesday. The suspects are 18-year-old Lareakus Cunningham, Jr., and 19-year-old Na’Rickio Mickle. Both are charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature. A third suspect is still in the hospital being treated for injuries from the shooting.

UPDATE:CHARLOTTE, NC – A 20-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a deadly shooting in west Charlotte on Sunday afternoon. CMPD says Wesley Guerra died after someone shot him on Royston Road near Camp Greene Street. There’s no information on the shooter or what may have led up to the shooting. If you know anything that can help detectives, call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. You do not need to leave your name or testify, and you could get a cash reward.

UPDATE (3/27/25)POLKTON, NC – Police say a man accused of kidnapping his six-year-old daughter in Polkton and killing her during a chase with deputies has died in the hospital. Investigators say Michael Roach shot himself after he crashed a stolen SUV, ending that chase on Monday. They believe he shot his daughter Mianna after he took her from her mother’s home around 3 a.m. Monday.

UPDATE (2/25/25):POLKTON, NC – Police have identified a man accused of kidnapping his six-year-old daughter in Polkton and killing her during a chase with deputies as Michael Roach. According to investigators, a woman called 911 around 3 a.m. Monday. She said Roach, who lived with her at a home on West Street, came into her room with a gun and took their daughter Mianna Roach, then took off in the woman’s SUV.

UPDATE:CHARLOTTE, NC – An innocent bystander got shot, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, during a street takeover in University City late Saturday night. It happened around the same time a wrecker company driver encountered a crowd of hundreds in the street. Video shared exclusively with WCCB shows cars doing donuts at University City Boulevard near Neal Road and you see people hanging out the windows of the green sedan wave at the dash camera.
