The Palace Trust’s proposal includes replacing the timber footbridge to the northeast corner of the moat, which is in a declining condition, with a new, wider bridge to improve access to the gardens and wells. A 2.2-metre wide footbridge is hoped to improve access for visitors in motorised wheelchairs and parents with prams. The bridge's current open sides are "a particular safety concern" for the Palace Trust.

The Dragonfly is built from a decommissioned Royal Navy helicopter and is "a monument to hope". It transforms the "machinery of conflict into a symbol of unity, spreading its wings across the Festival". It will come to life across the weekend at Worthy Farm, showcasing a "radical symphony" of art, music, engineering and cutting-edge technology. The Dragonfly will be stepping up a level for 2025, with vastly stronger laser wings and new concentric rings of flame.

Keith Smalldon, manager of Hickley Auto Centre Operations in Taunton, took on and achieved the incredible feat on Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11, as part of Hickley's centenary celebrations. The runner, who was taking part in the Westcountry Ultra 100, placed 6th overall and said he was "humbled by the amount of support". Keith has so far raised £2,190 for S.U.R.E. Charity through his JustGiving page, www.justgiving.com/page/keith-ultra100.

The Office for Nuclear Regulation told the NNB Generation Company (HPC) Ltd (NNB GenCo) that it must improve monitoring and management of tower cranes at the Hinkley Point C construction site near Bridgwater. This enforcement action follows the discovery of a failing component in a tower crane at the site in February this year. An operator undertaking pre-use checks on site found the failure of a pin connecting two mast sections together, and evidence of cracking within a mast section.
