Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith acquired the Tolpuddle Vineyard in 2011 and now produce just two wines: Tolpuddle Vineyard Chardonnay and Tolpuddle Vineyard Pinot Noir. In my humble opinion, this is the finest Chardonnay being made in the Southern Hemisphere. The bouquet is strikingly expressive, offering notes of sage, salted cashews, green apple, white peach, and pressed lavender.
