An eight-year-old girl is fighting for life after being struck by a car in Sydney's north. The incident occurred on Sommerville Road in Hornsby Heights just after 10.40am today. Police said the young girl was found unconscious on the road after she was hit by a Holden SUV. She was treated at the scene and rushed to the Children's Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition.
